Based in St Cross, close to the centre of Winchester, our private dental practice provides a wide range of treatments and services in a spacious and welcoming environment.
We’re based in a classic, elegant building. When you visit our practice, you can expect a friendly welcome from our reception team, as well as free Wi-Fi, refreshments and a selection of current magazines for you to read in our waiting room.
We are pleased to share that Mina Bassily is joining our Bupa Dental Care Winchester St Lawrence practice. Mina brings his expertise in a wide range of general dentistry treatments to our community of patients.
Dental treatments and services at St Lawrence House Dental Practice
We offer a range of dental treatments, from routine check-ups and fillings to more complex treatments. Our treatment is delivered in a friendly and comfortable environment, providing high-quality patient care.

Check-ups, hygienist appointments, fillings, tooth extractions, emergency appointments, simple and complex X-rays.
Dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, endodontics (root canal treatment).
Veneers, home teeth whitening kits and in-practice teeth whitening including Philips ZOOM! treatments.
We also have two dental hygienists available four days a week. We offer direct access hygiene appointments, so you don’t need to be a registered patient with us to have your treatment.
Our dental implant treatments
We’re well known in the area for our dental implant services. Our implant dentist, Steve Larcombe, has over 29 years’ experience placing dental implants and has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in the field. If you’d like to book a dental implant consultation, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Services for nervous patients
Our clinicians are experienced with nervous patients. We understand that for some people, visiting the dentist can be stressful. That’s why we offer a calm and relaxing environment for your treatment.
For particularly anxious patients, we can also offer dental sedation, which puts you into a deeply relaxed state while you’re having your treatment. If you’d like to come and look round the practice before having treatment, we’d be more than happy to accommodate you.
Our referral services
As well as treating our own patients, we can also treat patients referred to us by other dentists for dental implant placement, root canal treatment and dental sedation.
We accept referrals from all over Hampshire. If you’d like to refer a patient, please do get in touch with us.
Getting to us
We’re located in Barnes Close, in the St Cross area of central Winchester. We’re nearby to the Hospital of St Cross, beside the River Itchen.
If you’re coming by car, we have free on-site parking and there’s also on-street parking outside, limited to four hours.
If you’re coming by public transport, we’re about a 25-minute walk from Winchester train station and there are plenty of buses that go into the centre of town, which is about a 15-minute walk away.

Patient feedback
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
