Situated in the picturesque market town of Abergavenny, our award-winning dental practice has been providing private dental care to the local community for over 20 years. We are proud to be founder and gold members of the BDA Good Practice scheme.
Patient care is our main focus and our state-of-the-art Platinum practice aims to make your time with us as comfortable as possible.
Our clinicians offer a range of treatments including general and cosmetic dentistry, and are well known for placing dental implants. Dr Nigel Jones brings a wealth of implant experience to our practice. He has been at the forefront of advances in dental implant treatment for nearly two decades. As a specialist practice, we accept referrals for endodontics with Dr Gareth Thomas. He retains a membership in restorative dentistry (MRD) and membership in endodontics (MEndo). Gareth has passed these demanding examinations at both Royal College of Surgeons in London and Edinburgh.
We accept referrals for implants, CBCT scans, biopsies and complex root canal treatment. We can also provide emergency appointments if you need to be seen quickly.

Finding our practice
You’ll find us on Baker Street in Abergavenny town centre. If you’re driving, you’ll find plenty of parking within the town and there are several pay and display car parks in easy walking distance of the practice. If you’re travelling by bus, there are several local buses that run into the town centre.

Patient feedback
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
